I wanted to share with you the first quilt I made. It was in  2004 when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. 

It is the famous Sue Bonnet/Sam quilt. I bought all the fabrics, book, thread and my very first , Brother $99.00 sewing machine, at Wal-Mart. Boy have I come along way. Here are some close ups.

Now for the famous binding job I did.

I did the best I could following the directions in the book. No quilt is perfect, but this one is perfect to me, and so special. I would love to see your very first quilt. Post a picture on instagrm and #myveryfirstquilt. Lets have some fun!
